OK, admittedly we heard about Women Who Charge and thought: Shopping? Credit cards? Not even close. This group is all about encouraging the use of electric vehicles and promoting women in the EV and charging industry.

On Saturday, Oct. 5, the group hosted Rise and Ride to cap off National Drive Electric Week. Held at Green Valley Ranch Recreation Center, the morning event featured fitness and yoga classes, music by DJ EJ (Eugene Johnson) and some beautiful, inside and out, EVs on display. Coffee and doughnuts revved up guests along with the selection of eye-catching all-electric cars. Women Who Charge founder/executive director LaSheita Sayer was on hand to talk with guests, along with EV educator Nigel Zeid who chatted about the cars and brought an e-bike for all to try.
WWC writes: “Our mission is to advocate and support global sustainability efforts by encouraging the growth of the electric vehicle industry through community trainings, information sharing on equity solutions and encouraging the promotion of women innovators in the electric vehicle and charging industry.
