On Saturday, March 21, the Children’s Oncology Support Fund (COSF) hosted its 4th Annual Aspen Snow Ball Gala at The St. Regis Aspen. Embracing a “Pure Imagination” theme, the elegant black-tie affair was transformed by a regal purple and gold palette. The evening drew together a prominent circle of philanthropy, entertainment, and business leaders, all united by a singular mission: supporting pediatric cancer research and wellness programs.

Driven by the loss of a close friend to cancer, film producer and philanthropist Thomas Pierce founded COSF and the Aspen Snow Ball, serving as its chairman to champion the fight for pediatric wellness.

With an immersive atmosphere designed to evoke magic and possibility, the event highlighted COSF’s dedication to funding less-toxic therapies and providing critical grants to donor-dependent patient programs nationwide.

The gala was hosted by author and comedian Chelsea Handler and featured a special performance by Rumer Willis, a headlining performance by Wilson Phillips, and a late night show by Mojave Grey, with Taylen Biggs as Kid Chair correspondent for purple carpet arrivals.  A dramatic stage scene based on Charlie and The Chocolate Factory opened the evening’s programming, featuring Christian Madsen as Grandpa Joe and child actor Mariah Claire Mothner as Charlie, led with voiceover by William H. Macy.

A centerpiece of the evening was the presentation of the Philanthropic Achievement Award to Goldie Hawn for her work with MindUP. Having founded the program in the early 2000s to help children thrive, Hawn’s dedication is well-known locally; I first witnessed her impact years ago when she visited Aspen schools to personally lead students through her mindfulness practices. Hawn, joined by Kurt Russell, was introduced with a video featuring her daughter Kate Hudson before being presented the award by her dear friend Dr. Lawrence Piro. Other key honorees included Humanitarian of Light recipient Stella Roy and Youth Ambassador Ethan Curtis.

“What inspires me most is the unstoppable spirit of the children and families COSF serves,” noted Hawn. “To be part of a community that lifts them up… is one of the greatest joys of my life.”

The event drew a diverse circle of influential supporters, including Brooke Burke, Rachel Zoe, Edgar Ramirez, and Emmanuelle Chriqui, alongside dedicated board leadership and committee members. Guests enjoyed a menu of “Pure Imagination” inspired cocktails provided by partners such as Campari Group, Patrón El Alto, and Woody Creek Distillers.

COSF 2026 Gala partners at The St. Regis Aspen included Stella Roy Foundation, Campari Group featuring Aperol, Espolòn, Miraval: The Art of Rosé, Montelobos, Läderach Switzerland chocolate company, Patrón El Alto, Entourage, Woody Creek Distillers, Caymus Vineyards, Saratoga Spring Water, Gardenista, Weber Boxer Group, Aero, Balmoral Defender, Beverly Hills Rejuvenation Center, and EarthRoamer.

Through a successful live auction and “balloon pop” fundraiser with the winners receiving a custom trunk from Trunks Company in Jaipur, India, the evening raised vital funds for Children’s Oncology Support Fund programs, continuing their mission to provide less-toxic therapies and wellness support for pediatric cancer patients across the United States.
