Locally owned Lagrano Company launched their unique, hand crafted granola at a local croquet tournament with JiminyWicket on Saturday, October 5th at the beautiful Washington Park. The event benefited the local non-profit CityWILD, whose mission is to provide outdoor experiential learning opportunities to underprivileged youth. The founder of Lagrano, Samuel Blumenthal, organized this entertaining, exciting event to unveil three different flavors of granola (orange coconut, maple cinnamon and maple bacon).
The Lagrano launch party was a great success as all attendees tried Lagrano-tinis (Lagrano Granola with PinkBerry frozen yogurt with different fresh fruits in a martini glass). Lagrano-tinis were absolutely delicious! Lagrano Granola has a large nut content that is gluten free with no added sugar. 10% of Lagrano sales from the event went towards cityWILD. The entry fee was $15 per couple and will go directly towards cityWILD. Lagrano was the main sponsor of the event.
James Creasey, founder and CEO of JiminyWicket and one of the sponsors of the event, taught guests how to play croquet. People from all ages and at any level can play croquet. The croquet tournament started after the lesson. JiminyWicket’s weekly croquet games are played every Monday from 10 am till noon at the Denver Croquet Club in Washington Park until October. The first croquet game was played in London in 1800s.
It was unique event and everybody was having fun.
Over 100 individuals of all ages including members of the networks of the Denver Croquet Club, the Colorado Athletic Club and the Washington Park neighborhood gathered in support of one of Colorado’s newest local businesses. For more information, please visit: http://www.lagrano.com/
