Fast forward (or at least as fast as a giant bus can go down I-25), the Denver Rustlers arrived at the Colorado State Fair. There was some meetin’ and greetin’ and the Rustlers chatted with 4H youngsters and their animals before the auction, then headed in for a great buffet and got their auction paddles ready. Auctioneer John Korrey took the reins (so to speak) to ratchet up bids–all to benefit the outstanding youngsters who obviously have a great future ahead of them.
Over the years, the prestigious Denver Rustlers have raised more than $3 million for student exhibitors at the Colorado State Fair Junior Livestock Sale, an event that supports Colorado’s young farmers and ranchers as they showcase their livestock to earn money for college.
Back for the 41st year, led by Josh Hanfling, Katie Kramer, Tim Schultz and others, the Rustlers weren’t shy about opening their pocketbooks and hearts.
