On Saturday, May 9, Aspen Country Day School (ACDS) revived its Blue Green Night benefit at the Paul JAS Center, drawing a lively crowd in support of the school’s True for Tomorrow capital campaign.

“It made a great comeback, and we are so pleased to have given a massive boost to our capital campaign,” said Carolyn Hines, Director of Advancement & Communications at ACDS. “It’s all about ensuring that our 300 students always have outstanding teachers. We’re building two housing units here on campus and purchasing two in Basalt. This evening helps fund housing solutions like that, so it’s super important for our school, and we couldn’t do it without the support of our amazing ACDS community.”

The event brought together parents spanning many of the school’s 56-year history, along with teachers and longtime friends of ACDS. The dance floor came alive as Rolling Stones cover band Emotional Rescue took the stage (with school facilities manager Tim Rafferty as lead singer with moves like Mick Jagger) – a fitting send-off for longtime CFO and devoted Stones fan Scott Hicks, who is retiring this year after nearly three decades at the school.

A special thank you goes to event co-chairs Alle Popkes, Christine Light, and Kiki McBride, and to the team at the Paul JAS Center for helping make the night a success.
