Basalt Education Foundation hosted its annual benefit at the Roaring Fork Club on Nov. 8 with an apres-ski theme. More than 400 community members came together to enjoy outstanding food and drink, all in support of Basalt’s students and educators.
Many of the valley’s restaurants, caterers, and chefs donated their time and talents to present their sweet and savory dishes while distributors poured wines, craft beers and other beverages as pairings – numbering 40 booths in total.
DJ Naka G kept the energy rolling through the evening as the dance floor swelled with parents, teachers, and supporters of Basalt Education Foundation.
Every ticket purchase, auction bid, and sponsorship contribution benefit Basalt Education Foundation’s mission to enhance educational opportunities and resources for students and teachers in local schools.
“Thanks to the generosity of our attendees and sponsors, especially our Community Sponsor Alpine Bank, we’re able to fund outdoor and experiential education for K-12, bring innovative programs like Bike Days, Art Days, and Garden Club to our schools, provide scholarships for graduating seniors, and offer grants for our dedicated teachers and administrators,” said Michaela Idhammar-Ketpura, Executive Director, Basalt Education Foundation. “This event truly showcased the strength and spirit of our community, helping us invest in the future of Basalt’s youth.”
