“These are families with great need. For many of these families it means they won’t have to be apart during their child’s treatment or that their child will securely ride home in the protection of a child safety seat. It also means that many families didn’t have to choose between paying their monthly rent payment and purchasing food for their sick child. This event is essential to us raising friends and resources for the Foundation,” says Dr. Reggie Washington MD, chairman of the board of directors.

This year’s event included spa treatments, a wine tasting, cocktail hour, custom diamond collections by John Atencio, a five course dinner with dessert, jazz ensemble and dancing as well as a specialty brunch the following day. The goal is to raise as much money as possible, while enjoying a weekend of decadence and social extravagance – all for the sick and poverty stricken children of Colorado who need healthcare, and their families who struggle to provide for them. The event co-chairs, Taryn Edwards and Beth Bowlen Wallace, both members of the Foundation’s board of directors, along with Dr. Reggie Washington MD, chairman of the board of directors, encourage support for this noble cause. With the help of the donors and sponsors, this year’s Kaleidoscope event was a sparkling success for children.
